Patriots Peace Memorial Honors Veterans Who Lost Their Lives While Serving Their Country

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WLKY News)

This Memorial Day is taking on new meaning as two families remember the sons they lost and the legacies they left behind.

“When you lose somebody like that, you all feel that connection. You feel proud together I think,” Mary Robertson said.

There was an enshrinement ceremony at the Patriots Peace Memorial to pay respects to all of the veterans who risk their lives in service to the country. Scot Wayne Ames Jr., a first lieutenant for the United States Air Force and Kenneth Duncan Robertson, Lance Corporal for the United States Marine Corps were honored.
