Memorial Day is a day of gratitude and remembrance across America.

Nowhere is that truer than The Patriots Peace Memorial on River Road. The memorial is known as a portal of light and a place to heal.

On Memorial Day 2016, three more families in the Bluegrass took part in the healing process.

Navy Airman Apprentice Robert Hatcher, Marine Corps Captain Adam Satterfield, Navy Commander Robert Kemper were honored.

With the latest enshrinement, the Patriots Peace Memorial will represent 450 area patriots who have been memorialized since 2002.
